MS Office Professional Excel 2010 V 10.0.7153.5000 (32-bit) MS Excel for Mac 2011 14.5.4 (1050722) I've produced a Excel sheet with a non-linear equation (i.e. Circular) which requires iteration turned on to converge. All seems to work correctly and formulas converges correctly. However several cells not related to the non-linear equation are.
I have a workbook that requires circular calculations to calculate fund balances. For some reason, cells that are linked to other cells won't update properly. For example, if the formula in C2 is '=B10', and the result of the formula in B10 is $100,000, C2 will not equal $100,000. However, upon the next time pressing F9, C2 will equal $100,000, but B2 will have a different value than $100,000. It seems to be lagging. I messed around with the number of iterations, starting with 1 iteration to try and diagnose the problem, but I couldn't figure it out. Additionally, the workbook has many worksheets with a ton of confidential information so I can't post it hear without risking accidentally leaving something confidential in the workbook. Do you have any advice? I've been at this for a few days now.
- The method uses iterative calculations. It is currently provided to perform calculations using the one-term Margules equations, but be modified for other activity relations. As provided, the spreadsheet uses the Antoine equation for vapor pressure. Background This worksheet provides background on the iterative calculations. Worksheets are.
- Calculation options on the Formulas tab in Excel Options. Many calculation options (Automatic, Automatic except for data tables, Manual, Recalculate workbook before saving) and the iteration settings (Enable iterative calculation, Maximum Iterations, Maximum Change) operate at the application level instead of at the workbook level (they are the.
